Have your say on improving health and wellbeing in Angus at the Live Better, Longer event

Angus residents are being encouraged to have their say to improve health and wellbeing in their area by getting involved in an upcoming Live Better, Longer event.

Hosted by Angus Council, Angus Health and Social Care Partnership and ANGUSalive, the Live Better, Longer event on Thursday 11 May, 9.30 am to 1 pm at the Reid Hall in Forfar gives residents the chance to share thoughts and ideas on how to tackle various conditions that cause ill health and what can be done to increase healthy life expectancy and reduce health inequalities.

Feedback gathered at the event will help shape future improvements to create the best possible health and social care across Angus.

Cllr Julie Bell, Angus Council and Chair of Angus Health Angus Health & Social Care Integration Joint Board (IJB) said:

“There continues to be a real gap between life expectancy for those living in the poorest neighbourhoods of Angus and those living in the least deprived areas. We need to work together to improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in Angus and to get it right we need to hear from the people with real life experiences, whether that’s about your physical or mental health, wellbeing, work opportunities, the cost of living or housing.

“We need a real mix of people with different ideas and experiences to think about complex issues and share imaginative ways on where we can make improvements to best help you. I’d encourage as many residents as possible to join us at the Live Better, Longer event so we can draw on as many experiences as we can. Your views count.”
