Tell us Your Story

Care Opinion

If you’ve experienced health or social care recently, either as a patient yourself or as a carer or friend of someone else, please tell us how it was. What was good? What could have been better?

Your story will be handled confidentially by the non-profit service Care Opinion. Your story may appear (without your name) on their website. Care Opinion asks the health service to respond to the feedback you share, but does not reveal your identity.

This service is independent of Angus Health & Social Care Partnership and NHS Tayside. For more information about Care Opinion and how your story is handled, visit www.careopinion.org.uk.”

Complaints

Angus Health and Social Care Partnership is committed to providing high quality care and treatment to people in our communities through the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care. We understand that sometimes things go wrong. If you are dissatisfied with something we have done, or have not done, please tell us and we will do our best to put things right.

We take all concerns brought to our attention very seriously, and we value your feedback.  We will use your feedback to thoroughly review any issues raised in an effort to improve and make changes and improvements to our services.

The Angus Integrated Joint Board (IJB) was established in April 2016 in response to the Public Bodies Joint (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014. NHS Tayside and Angus Council have delegated services and functions which are to be integrated and delivered by the IJB.

Angus Health and Social Care Partnership (AHSCP) is governed by the IJB and is legally required to deliver these delegated services and functions on behalf of the IJB.

The services which Angus Health and Social Care Partnership deliver are delegated by two Partner Organisations:

  • NHS Tayside (Healthcare)
  • Angus Council (Social Care)

Do I complain to NHS Tayside, Angus Council or Angus HSCP?

Angus HSCP don’t have an ‘integrated’ Complaints Handling Procedure.

You should submit your complaint via NHS Tayside or Angus Council

We have an internal team within Angus HSCP who oversee all complaints regarding AHSCP which are submitted via NHS Tayside and Angus Council.

Where you submit your complaint to is determined by which Partner Organisation has delivered your care experience.

It is important that you submit your complaint via the correct organisation’s process; this can reduce the likelihood of experiencing a delay in receiving a response to your complaint.
