Angus HSCP Gold Level Two Digital Telecare Implementation Award

Digital Telecare for Scottish Local Government are delighted to confirm that Angus Health and Social Care Partnership has been awarded the Gold Level Two Digital Telecare Implementation Award in recognition of the recent progress of their analogue to digital telecare transition project.

To achieve the Gold Level Two Implementation Award, a Telecare Service Provider must have successfully rolled out a live digital telecare service to 50% of service users and is operating successfully without serious issues or call failures for at least 6 weeks.

Since achieving the Gold Level 1 award in October 2023, the teams have worked together to reach 75% of people in Angus. The project migration plan is ahead of its original targets and the teams will continue to strive towards full digital transformation which they are confident they will achieve within the planned time frame and gain the platinum award.

Jillian Galloway, Chief Officer of Angus Health and Social Care Partnership, said: “This is a fantastic achievement, and I would like to thank the team for all their hard work to reach this milestone so quickly. Telecare supports people to live safely and independently in their own homes and we know how much people value this service. We continue to explore new opportunities for the role technology can play in supporting independence.”

Planned time allocated to each area within Angus has been key to a successful migration, ensuring records were up to date, implementing the phases for each migration area and contacting those that use the service to advise of the changes and organising supplies to continue a seamless service, alongside fully committed staff engagement.

Andrea McGregor, Community Alarm Coordinator, said: “Commitment from all staff has been a major contributor to achieving this award. We are committed to provide a reliable service to all that require telecare support within the community.”

Lindsay Foreman, Service Leader, said: “Receiving this award is a significant achievement and demonstrates the effectiveness of Angus Health and Social Care Partnership’s digital telecare solution. It is only through their collaborative working and innovative thinking that the digital transformation of this service has got to this stage.”

Achieving this Award is a major milestone and robustly demonstrates the overall functionality and effectiveness of Angus Health and Social Care Partnership’s digital telecare solution. Angus Health and Social Care Partnership can now confidently progress further on their journey and aim to achieve the next Implementation Award, Platinum.

We extend our wholehearted congratulations to Angus Health and Social Care Partnership and look forward to continuing to work with them as they progress towards the Platinum Digital Telecare Implementation Award.
